Nutritionally, the apples are a source of dietary fibre which help to eliminate toxins as well as containing beneficial minerals such as iron, potassium, magnesium and calcium plus antioxidants and vitamin A and vitamin C. They also contain omega 3 and omega 6 which contribute to a healthy skin and coat for your happy hound.

Cinnamon has a plethora of health benefits including antifungal, antibacterial, anti-clotting and anti-inflammatory. Therefore helps to strengthen the immune system by building white blood cells to fight bacteria, thinning the blood which helps newly oxygenated blood to get to the organs – essential for fighting cancer and heart disease in dogs. Furthermore, cinnamon has natural pain killing properties AND helps reduce stiffness in muscles and joints!

Parsley is a good source of Vitamins A and C plus minerals including calcium, magnesium and iron. It also contains vitamin D which regulates the absorption of calcium. Parsley is great for cleansing the mouth and therefore acts as a natural breath freshener for dogs. Parsley can also break up congestions of the eyes, nose and mouth helping with normal function after different ailments. It is also a useful aid in reducing motion sickness during travel. Parsley can also eliminate toxins and maintain elasticity of blood vessels which benefit the digestive system and the immune system.

We all know most dogs adore cheese and our happy hounds would do anything for a cheesy chicken ball which makes these treats ideal to use as training treats. They are ball shaped and about the size of a malteser. They will last up to a week in the fridge or you can freeze them and defrost when ready.

Nutritionally:- Chicken is a very good source of lean, high quality protein, rich in vitamin B6 and niacin. Chicken is also a good source of phosphorus, which is essential for maintaining healthy teeth and bones and also ensures healthy functioning kidneys, liver and the central nervous system.

Cheese is an excellent source of calcium. Known to be one of the most anticariogenic of all foods. It helps reduce damaging increases in acidity of plaque surrounding the teeth, delivers large amounts of calcium and phosphorous to the mouth which helps to replace the minerals lost through acidic damage. It also helps to increase the strength of tooth enamel. Cheese also causes us to produce more saliva in the mouth which helps to clear food and reduce the amount of sugar present for fermentation and acid production by mouth bacteria.
